Karen brings more than 17 years of global experience in executive search and operational leadership with multinationals and early-stage, venture-backed technology companies.

Prior to joining ILM & Partners, Karen was a founding partner and leader in the Clean Technology Practice at The Pachera Group, a boutique Silicon Valley based executive search firm. Karen’s practice is concentrated at the C and VP levels of management and well-integrated across the CleanTech sector.

Previous to search, opening new markets and developing unchartered geographies for disruptive technologies and services characterized Karen’s career. From launching next generation communications platforms at NYNEX and forging global alliances with Unisys, Accenture, Oracle and SAP to building and leading field sales organizations for early-stage companies in multiple industries, Karen’s unique blend of experience informs her search for world-class talent across a range of disciplines.

Karen began her career as a Financial Analyst with ABN AMRO in Taipei, Taiwan and her background includes international experience with clients in Canada, China, Singapore, Taiwan, and Argentina. Karen holds a B.A. in English and a Minor in Mandarin from the University of Georgia. She also attended the joint Harvard / MIT / Tufts Executive Program at Harvard University.

Karen is an active volunteer with the CleanTech Open’s Alumni and Innovation Partners Programs, a frequent speaker, trainer and writer on topics of career portability, and an impassioned advocate for the advancement of a clean, renewable energy economy.
